Does this item need to be cooked first before adding this to a salad? I want it as a cold protein. Was not surr how to prepare it cold.

You can marinate it to the flavors of your preference. I normally do overnight. You CAN do about 20 minutes minimum. So I have heard.. You should make sure you properly strain out the fluid it comes in! Hehe do not want that to be part of your marinade. Cut in slices or cubes.. you can also make them into bacon bites! Tofu is very versatile. Anyway, good luck and I hope you enjoy your lovely salad!

Yes, the little sticker with the butterfly on it says it is non gmo. Good luck!
