I noticed my daughter would drink much less water with certain other brands (munchkin - all variations, tervis) and when testing the cups out myself, even I struggled to get any liquid. It seems most other sippy cups require a very powerful suck, and maybe this is fine for infants who are used to more vigorous sucking because they use pacifiers? That’s just my theory. Over time, the nipples of the nuby do eventually leak, but this is probably because my daughter sometimes bites them and tries to stick her little pointer finger in every crevice of the valve and nipple. The nipples can be replaced relatively cheaply though, so this is not a problem. If your child is not accustomed to a pacifier, I think you may like this brand of cup as well.
