Review: Easy setup - I purchased this to bypass my door openers up limit switch.The openers switch required constant cleaning to operate correctly it would work okay for awhile then stop and the opener would hammer the stop bolt. I installed this limit switch so the door would trigger it and stop. This required a little patience and planning the switch being totally adjustable is a great feature. It’s working perfectly very happy with overall quality and pricing would highly recommend.

**Q: Does the lever rotate in both directions?**
A: Yes it is fully adjustable both 360 degrees on the shaft or by sliding on the slot on the lever arm.

**Q: can a diode be added to this switch?**
A: This is a mechanical on/off limit switch that will work for a/c or d/c.  Yes, you could add a diode in a circuit with this switch but that seems like an exotic function for this simple switch.  I use them in a 110v a/c circuit stopping an elevator at each floor.  I have never had a failure of one.

**Q: would this switch work with a raspberry pi raspberry pi?**
A: Both Arduino and the Rasberry PI inputs are rated at 5V.
It should work for the Rasberry PI.

**Q: are these waterproof?**
A: Not claimed to be WATERPROOF, but ARE Weatherproof.  
Waterproof infers dunking  in water whereas Weatherproof infers that its operation and reliability are NOT affected by dampness or occasional exposure to rain showers.  
After 3 years of operation, mine still works like it did when I installed it.

These are well built limit switches and work perfectly for a foot actuated table saw shutoff. The roller lever arm is easily adjusted for length with a set screw. What makes this limit switch very versatile is the Allen set screw that changes the angle of engagement. Inside contacts are both NC and NO for various applications. They are also activated by motion in either direction of the roller lever arm allowing push or pull triggering. Excellent value for the price.
