Stock firmware was pretty easy to install. I purchased my USB-C to 30 pin from Kabeldirekt on desertcart. Charging these devices can be tricky. I found that getting a Plugable USB Data Blocker and a USB-C to USB-A adapter worked for charging. It also charges when plugged into my MacBook Air via the 30 pin USB-C cable. Overall, I am well pleased with the final product and thankful it turned out so nicely.
