Has a magnet for mounting on a range hood or a kickstand to set up on the counter. Very easy to use right out of the box. It didn't work at first, but I checked the battery and they had thoughtfully put a cover over it, so it wouldn't discharge until ready to be used. I removed it and it has worked great since then. Highly recommend this timer. It's pretty loud (can be good or bad). It'd by nice if the volume was adjustable, or even just a high or medium volume switch. I love the stand so you can just put it on your counter as well as the magnet to stick it right on my stove. The alarm pitch is perfect as it's not too loud. Cannot attest to the life of the battery as I just bought it. This is a great item to buy for the price as you get two timers. Truly recommend this item.
