The 9 year old did pretty well but the 6 year old had the clay stuff everywhere, even with adult supervision. Next time I think we will wait to purchase these in the summer time so the younger kids can do it outdoors. I purchased one of these for a 9 year old's birthday. He loved it! He enjoyed searching the map for his quest and digging out all the pieces from the block of clay. He was lucky enough get one of the rare figurines and the golden skull. He had so much fun, and his 5 year old sister has so much fun watching him, we purchased 6 more for both kids for Christmas. Very good quality product and definitely worth the money.
