I will say that they do feel roomy, but not to the point that others have noted on their own reviews(just speaking for my own experience) where I felt that I might need to return them for a half size smaller. Thankfully these shoes felt fine out of the box and the initial break in period has been pretty smooth unlike my last pair of work shoes that were just like these but without the steel toe, something that my new job required. I work in a lab for a food production company and sometimes need to go down to the production floor to do some work and in that regard these shoes fit the bill perfectly. Add to it that there are no laces which could become a potential hazard and I couldn't think of a more ideal style of shoes then these imo. As I alluded to earlier these shoes are great for lab/manufacturing type work to include maintenance type work. Where I would think to look elsewhere would be if you're doing heavy duty construction or something along those lines. Overall though these shoes are comfortable, feel very sturdy and can see them lasting for a long time.
