Review: Building off the first game! Techland done gooooood! - I end up getting the PS4 version that you can upgrade to the PS5 which I plan to do but I wanted to test out ,you know, both versions first. See how they compare and stack up against each other frame rate you know resolution overall quality and you know load times and everything like that The PS5 obviously is light years ahead even the digital version doesn't matter but still it's an insane game on the PS4 if you have a PS4 pro and you have a good 4K TV and graphically speaking and technically speaking it's still an amazing game tons of content multiple endings the parkour and combat system got even better it's more simple and you can level up a lot easier just by you know playing and doing the things and using the skills you have which is very nice I like that way it's a very big open world there's tons of quests it doesn't ever really feel like you're doing fetch quests which is good plus the replay value and the fact that there is co-op all just adds you know positive you know reviews to this but all in all I'd say it's it's a direct sequel 15 years or four years after the first one or 15 or four something it feels just like the first game which is perfect because the first game was amazing in its own right and all the second one does is just build on top of that in a positive way so more more intense combat more combat more sneaky sections more zombies more everything just everything you like about the first one basically it's just more so I mean I can't really say any specific thing really I mean it's an excellent sequel it's definitely worth the full asking price and if not maybe $40 to $50 but still I think you know $65 attacks or whatever or just $60 digitally is good until you know horizon comes out on the 18th but it's definitely worth it I'd say if you like the first one you'll love this one guaranteed.
Review: One of my most compelling games. - The map turned out to be far more expansive than I first thought (think Skyrim). Not so much different from any other open-world post-apocalyptic zombie game, but great, great fun! I like that it's mostly melee combat rather than shooting. The graphics and detail are amazing! Lots of side missions, which I parceled out evenly and leveled up as the story progressed. I did find a few of the venues to be repetitive. I think the powerup generators in the substation basements were laid out exactly the same, so once you've done one, the next one is easier. Not really a complaint. A lot of the interior houses and stores are laid out identically also. I do like the fact that when you respawn you are regenerated close by, and not too far back in the story. And progress usually remains -- if you've dropped down a ladder in a previously attempt, the dropped ladder is still there so you can climb up and skip what it took to get you there in the first place. Lots of interesting side missions, some of them comical, some touching. The parkour during the course of the game is fun but I left those Challenges for last. Not sure I'm going to get to those.
