Ok for flinging over fences.
I wish I bought a package that had more seeds. They don’t seem to fling too far when spreading onto a lawn. I made a decent heavy duty fling’er out of a stiff kitchen spoon but hard to tell if I get much over 10’ across the fence line. Also after 3 weeks I’m not seeing any new sprouts but I spread them at the same time that the natural dandy’s were seeding, and I don’t see new sprouts from them either. Probably just need to be patient. That’s on me. They definitely go farther than the naturals that blow in the wind at my house. Usually the wind on the fence line is into my face so it’s hard to get the naturals over the fence at all. They just blow back into my own yard. Overall I think this is a great product. In theory a yard or at least a portion of a yard within about 10 feet of the fence could be covered in dandies and after a couple good seed cycles their entire yard could be covered.

Third times the charm but I got it!
I just want to say these seeds were not easy to germinate! It took a lot of trial and error. 1st time I tried to plant them in egg crates with fertilizer and potting soil, pla ted about 1/4" into the soil. I waited 2 weeks, watered them every day and not a single one sprouted. Then I simply sprinkled a few seeds on top of the same soil and and shuffled them a bit on the top soil. About a week later I started to get a few that sprouted but not much. At the same time I sprinkled the seeds on the soil I started that white container you see in my image. Just a wet paper towel and seeds sprinkled over them, i spaced them out and made sure they didn't touch. I placed them in DIRECT SUNLIGHT and about 4 or 5 days later they started to sprout! And not just a couple a lot of them. After that first day they sprouted I'd get about 20 new ones that sprout each day in this little container. For me, after trying 3 different ways of getting these guys to sprout, this has been the easiest and fastest way for me. If you do plan on using soil, you literally don't need to plant them under the soil much, just place them on the top of the soil and sprinkle a tiny amount of soil over the seeds and use A LOT of water, at least 3 times a day. The container with wet paper towel stays wet most of the day so you should only have to wet it once or twice a day depending on how hot it is.

Wonderful Dandelions
Well, I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I received the 10,000 seed packet because it sure didn't look like 10,000 seeds.----see photos----- So, being the geek that I am, I proceeded to count them. I made a nice little pile of 1,000 seeds ( yes it took awhile) then spread out the rest of the packet and sure enough, there are really 10,000 seeds ( guess I should have been more trusting) ---- Then I did a germination test on 20 seeds and after 7 days already 10 are sprouting. ----- I'm happy with this purchase and will order again. ------ Just in case anyone is wondering what I do with all of these dandelions, in early spring I pick young leaves and cook them like spinach....they taste better than spinach to me and are high in vitamins....and also eat them raw in salads. Then when the flowers open, I use the flowers to make infused olive oil to mix with beeswax and make a healing balm....good for muscle aches, joint pain and healing dry skin. In fall I dig up some roots, wash, dry, chop and lightly roast them, then ground them and make tea....good for the liver. ---- It's too bad this amazing plant is considered a weed.

Do Not Buy
I planted all of these seeds per the instructions. Not ONE seed germinated. These are terrible quality and I do not recommend anyone purchasing them. They are a waste of money.

Growing well
The seeds arrived at the scheduled time and there are a LOT of seeds. 10,000 is an incredible amount and it's super hard to plant just a couple at a time. The seed packet was easily torn at the edges, so I taped the edges to prevent further tearing. That said, I planted about 75 of them in some containers (to be used in dandelion oil/salve) and most have begun to grow, but certainly, not all. (which is pretty normal as seeds go). They haven't had time to grow to full bloom, but it looks promising. Edit: It has now been several months (winter is passing) and I'm thrilled to say that I have a ridiculous amount of dandelions growing in the container where I planted them. My mom uses the leaves and I use the blossoms. I am so pleased with the turn out.
