Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust - Standard BD [Blu-ray]

Good greetings fellow amazon shoppers. Thy wilst give a short review on thee product in which thy hast brought. (this is now in present English) Vampire hunter D Bloodlust is an anime worth buying. The voice dubbers are superb, reason being is that it was first recorded in english. The plot's stroyline is strong and will keep viewers interested. The animation is smooth and very effective when it comes to detail. This is a sequel to the 80's Vampire Hunter D but you needn't watch it to gain an understanding of this film. As for the book that relates to this film it doesn't rely heavily on the plot however the film in itself tells a story of its own. Yes as the name implies it's about vampires and dhampirs (dunpeals) but these are no camp actors or characters (interview with the vampire, van helsing)but it gives in to a vampires true nature and has a few new twists aswell. This is a film that adults or mature teenagers should really (exuse the pun) should really sink there teeth into. The special features should keep rookie animators interested if not entertained. Exceeded all my expectations, the Visuals, Sound effects, the voice acting the Story line all Excellent! just sitting down and watching a film is meant to be enjoyable but this was on a whole new level, even if your not into anime not into this genre or type of film you will still enjoy your self because of how brilliantly this film is executed. Its good enough to call a Piece of beautiful Art! (i'd already seen this but it was so good i had to buy it!)

Great animation movie

There should be more Vampire Hunter D movies! With this movie not disappointing in the sliest, I highly recommend it! Follows the book Demon Deathchase quite well, and while a little shorter for the movie adaptation, it was a pretty good adaptation i highly recommend.

The disk with the Vimpire Hanter D is originally from Germany and, therefore, is in German with the option to choose an English language and subtitles when playing. However, the booklet is in German, not English. The quality of the video itself is not HD, UHD or 4K - just a DVD (in my opinion)... and this is frustrating. No image enhancements or remastering. Also, I have noticed that the audio (at least the English one) has a low volume, even on the maximum level. Price-wise, I think it's acceptable at about £16. On the other hand, the same quality of video can be easily downloaded from any online resource absolutely for free.

This is my favourite anime film. It has superb animation, brilliant plot, romance, violence, vampires and some of the best characters for our hero to fight that I've ever seen. This is simply awesome and I'm not usually a fan of vampires but this is one vampire movie that I can't recommend enough. Watch it if only for the character design and the imagination that's gone into it. You'll love it!

One of the classic anime films, gorgeous artwork, a good realisation of the world created by Hideyuki Kikuchi in the books, which I got into after seeing this film. I recommend the books as they are a very novel vampire story/sci-fi world. The pacing is great, the characters and villains are great, the battles are great (although they will give you flashbacks of Ninja Scroll), the scenery and the world you get sucked in to is expansive and beautifully realised.

My advice it to get the old 1985 D film and this together. Then watch the 1985 film for a blast from the past and then Bloodlust. I did so as I watched the 1985 film as a teenager and wanted to see it again. Ok the animation is not great in the 1985 film, but it is 26 years old. I still enjoyed the old film much, but when seeing bloodlust in action right after I was like WOW.. The improvement in its animation etc hits your right away. Vampire Hunter D [1985] [DVD ] You don't have to watch the first one to enjoy this one. But my advice is do so. Its well worth doing so. Peace <3
