Zumindest psychologisch. KOSMOS hat mit der „unheimlichen Villa“ ein Meisterwerk geschaffen, das die harmonischste Runde innerhalb von zehn Minuten in ein hochemotionales Tribunal aus gegenseitigen Schuldzuweisungen verwandelt. Und wir haben jede Sekunde davon geliebt.Das Level ist als „Fortgeschrittene“ deklariert, und das sollte man verdammt noch mal ernst nehmen. Wer glaubt, hier mit ein bisschen logischem Standard-Denken durchzuspazieren, wird von der Decodier-Scheibe schnell eines Besseren belehrt. Die Rätsel sind herrlich fies, herrlich unkonventionell und zwingen einen dazu, komplett um die Ecke zu denken. Man ertappt sich dabei, wie man das Spielmaterial gegen das Licht hält, es wie ein Alchemist faltet oder die Verpackung nach versteckten Hinweisen absucht, während die Katze einen vom Sofa aus ansieht, als hätte man komplett den Verstand verloren.Besonders genial (und grausam) ist das Konzept, dass man die Komponenten zerschneiden, beschriften und knicken muss. Als ordnungsliebender Mensch, der seine Brettspiele normalerweise wie rohe Eier behandelt, blutet einem beim ersten Schnitt mit der Schere das Herz. Aber genau das macht den Reiz aus: Es gibt kein Zurück. Es ist ein einmaliges, intensives Erlebnis.Die Story um die unheimliche Villa zieht einen sofort in den Bann. Wenn man mal absolut feststeckt (was definitiv passieren wird, es sei denn, man ist hauptberuflicher Sherlock Holmes), retten die gestuften Hilfekarten das eigene Ego vor dem totalen Zusammenbruch. Man nimmt die erste Hilfekarte, liest sie und denkt sich peinlich berührt: „Ach verdammt, das war doch offensichtlich...“Pro & Contra:+ Immense Rätseldichte: Die Story und die Rätsel greifen so perfekt ineinander, dass die Zeit verfliegt wie im Flug.+ Qualität der Hinweise: Das Hilfesystem ist fair dosiert, sodass man nie frustriert aufgibt, sondern sanft in die richtige Richtung geschubst wird.– Einweg-Erlebnis: Da das Material am Ende im Grunde reif für die Altpapiertonne ist, kann man es danach nicht noch mal spielen oder weiterverschenken.
