I recently had the chance to try it out in moderately light polluted skies. When viewing the Lagoon Nebula (M8) it made a big difference. It also helped increase contrast with the Dumbell Nebula (M27) and the Ring Nebula (M57). One thing I really like about it is that it doesn't turn everything green like my other UHC filters. It gives the stars a slight reddish tint but it's hardly noticeable to me. This "cosmetic second" filter showed a couple tiny pinholes on the filter surface, but these don't seem to affect the performance at all. On the first one I received the threads did not mesh well with some of my eyepieces. That must be the "2nd".
