The fuel consumption seems fine, it lasts longer than I'd expect (so I'd say it was good/economical) - I usually use three one second bursts of gas to fill - you can tell that the torch is filling by the cold feel to the handle as you prime it up, but I find a total of three seconds of gas transfer is about it's maximum refill - this will give you probably 15 minutes of continuous burn time (just guessing here as I only burn the torch as long as it takes to solder a cable, so maybe a minute at a time maximum usage). I've had no issues with the torch burning the tip or not igniting, it seems to be built to a good standard and is of a metallic construction - it feels nice in the hand and is weighty (in a good way). I like that you can turn the flame from one to two burners for extra heat and that the throw of the flame is perfect for smaller spaces. The torch provides good constant heat in all sorts of weather and I really can't complain about this tool at all. It lives in my toolbox and gets me out of trouble when I need a fair bit of heat.
