I recently had hip surgery and needed an ice pack for when I’m on the go. It freezes within an hour/ hour and a half and stays cold for about the same time maybe a little longer. When it’s very frozen it can be stiff, but only takes about 10 minutes to soften up. At first I couldn’t understand the thigh strap, but you have to wrap the strap the opposite way you would think. It is double sided Velcro so I put a piece of fabric over the top so my clothes wouldn’t get caught on it. The size it perfect for me I’m 5’4” around 180 lb, but the straps are very long! The fabric under neath is very soft. Another plus, it fits under my brace. I was worried it wouldn’t, but it’s perfect. I would suggest putting it on first and then a brace. The reason I give it a 4 star. It produces a frost on top which then will make anything you have over it wet. I had to set a designated hand towel with it so I had something protecting my clothes/blankets. Overall it’s a nice ice pack, it freezes fast and works well.
