Still good quality
I used these meals many years ago, so I have purchased them as a foodie memory, and they are just as good now as they were in the late 60's and 70's , a little more costly but a very good cupboard staple, when required I shall purchase more or a different flavor, very easy to prepare and a good tasty supper.

It looks like Vesta has cancelled this product which I have been enjoying as a childhood 'treat' since the mid '60's...... Words aren't enough. : (

Exactly what I ordered, good package in individual boxes and large box neatly packed.
I love Vesta Meals, and now have enough to keep me happy for a while 6 of each Chow Mein and Paella.

Tasty chow mein.
The crispy noodles aren't as good as they used to be, so I sprinkle Quavers or Cheesy Curls (crisps) on the chow mein instead. They're yummy!😊

Not as nice anymore!
Sadly not as tasty as these used to be. Changing the lovely old crispy noodles to curls,yuk! BLAND! Still easy to cook. Quite expensive!

Crispy Curls
If like me you get these for a little 1970 Vesta Taste of the Orient nostalgia. Forget IT. Although the actual Chow Mein tastes as it was. The new Crispy Curls. Why I get them in the first place, are appalling, absolutely foul, rank, think really bad popadom. you would do better to cut up the cardboard packing and sprinkle that on top. The Cardboard will undoubtedly taste better too. Just don’t deep fry it! Don’t waste your money if you want the crispy Curls. And price wise probably, just go to the local Takeout. Or Uber Eats.

A memory taste.
Mum would buy Vesta Chow Mein late 60's as a Chinese treat for her and I. I continued to buy it over the years. Hadn't seen it in the supermarkets I shop at for years. Saw it on Amazon and thought I'd try it again. Fully expecting to find that I didn't like it anymore. Now while I have got used to the real thing, this was a taste memory that was just as good as it used to be. Quick and easy to make. Glad I bought 6 boxes. The crispy noodles are still great, just wish I could find them in a takeaway. Will be buying again.

Love these but the crispy bits you fry have change and are not so crunchy. They are too chewy.
