It feels much more secure/ergonomic to me than getting heavy dumbbells into position for the sitting or standing dumbbell press. The standing press also put more pressure on my back when lifting heavy above my head, which I avoid with this machine. It feels great to use. Also it feels better than doing barbell military press for me. I like the variations (sitting forwards or backwards on the seat using the different handles to hit the muscles a little differently) and I like the lateral raise functionality as well. Glad I made the space in my home gym (this machine has quite a small footprint) and got this machine.
