After exploring similarly sized and featured options from Topo Designs, Patagonia, TNF, Mystery Ranch, and many more, this is my top pick for combining size that can pass for a TSA personal item, durability, capacity, outer pockets, and most of all, a laptop compartment that fits a 16” laptop with easy enough access that I’m not fighting to retrieve it—given I have a relatively heavy MacBook Pro. I haven’t road tested it yet so I’m not sure about comfort.
