We bought it for its compact size, USB and memory card capacity to play our MP3 music and it does quite well with that. I have yet to find a truly good analog for "shuffle mode" on any device I have ever purchased, so I have come to sort my library into a continuous play-thru order that simulates a shuffle without repeating any song or artist consecutively. This stereo unit will pick up where ever your playlist left off when you last powered down so the playlist remains continuous. Husband has a vintage true 4 channel stereo with awesome sound. Sound is equal to a concert hall. Very complicated for me to use. I wanted a compact stereo which allows me to play music from a USB stick, CD's and doesn't require technical genius to play. I also like having a remote. I had my doubts when I unboxed the small and light weight stereo. But I was in for a pleasant surprise. The sound is great from CD's and MP3s. I expected a tinny sounding stereo when I set it up.
