I got this gate for a porch, it's a good size and looks nice. However, I wish the pieces held together at all times, instead of just when the gate is installed. What I mean is the pieces don't "clamp" or hold together, they only fit together loosely and so if you want to move the gate, you either have to move it in pieces or try to hold it all together and then hope you don't lose anything on your way. This is especially annoying if you need to move the gate around and don't need it installed permanently. I got it to coral my cats to the porch when they want to be outside and I don't have time to be, but otherwise I don't need it there. Maybe I didn't build it right, but I read the instructions and don't think I missed anything.

The five stars I gave are strictly for this company’s customer service. The gate comes with a 4 inch and a 12 inch extension that you can add onto the 29 inch gate. So you need a very specific opening size for this to work, and it would not fit my particular opening despite being within their advertised size range. It took a couple days to get ahold of customer service, but when I did they immediately sent me out a 6 inch and an additional 4 inch so that I could accomplish a 14 inch extension onto the 29 inch gate. They didn’t charge me for it. They were super friendly on the phone, and once I actually got ahold of them it was a breeze. The gate on the other hand is not a safe way to contain pets or children. It looks nice, it looks a lot more put together than the little wooden pressure mounted gates you can get for cheaper, but my cats and my 20 lb puppy pop the door on this open like it’s not there. And then my dogs get into the living room and destroy things and the puppy pees everywhere while I sleep. Even latched properly the door opens with minimal pressure against it. The door will be wide open with the latch still fully latched on the door. So it makes sense that in the instructions it says this is for six month old babies. If you have a toddler, definitely don’t use this somewhere that they might be able to push it open. Or if you have a big dog that you absolutely need to keep separated from company this will not safely do so. It’s also extremely wobbly even with the cups screwed into the wall, but I think that’s because I have three small extensions on it, it wobbles at the extensions. If you just use the 29 inch main gate or possibly just one extension I imagine it would wobble less. But I’m going back to my $15 wooden pressure mounted gate.

With 4 large dogs, being able to block off areas or separate dogs for medical recovery or feeding is essential. We needed something that was not obtrusive while still being sturdy enough for our wild pack. I also did not want to permanently attach anything to my walls or trim. I needed a system that could separate our kitchen from our family room. We didn't want to make anyone feel completely sequestered by having to close the wide French doors between the two rooms. We also wanted to be able to get a matching one for the other end of the kitchen leading into a hallway with a narrower egress. This gate checked all the boxes AND comes in two sizes. The gates are adjustable and can be expanded to fit the desired openings within their respective stated size ranges. I did buy some added protectors for the tension pads to keep them from maring the painted trim. I'm glad I did, as I have these installed pretty tightly. The latches are easy to use and sturdy. There is a little lock on them which kept the smart puppy from flipping up the latch. As some of the prettier wooden options would have looked nicer, I couldn't find any tall enough, easy enough to operate with full hands, and they looked to be more difficult to clean. Dust comes right off of these with a duster. Although they don't necessarily add to the decor in our house, they don't make it look tacky, either. These are sturdy, useful, easily removable, and they just seem to blend in. Buying two different sizes was a brilliant move on my part! Great value for the money!

Edit: I am adding another frustration because this product is unable to be disassembled in order to package for a return. It won’t fit back in the product box. There are two pieces that won’t come apart due to a pin that can’t be removed once inserted. I’m sure this gate is a fine gate if you have a certain sized entryway. Here’s my issue: the gate is rated for an entry of 29-49”. My doorway is 38” and this won’t work. I have tried all configurations of the included pieces. If I use just the smaller fence piece, the tension pieces just barely come short. If I use just the longer fence piece, it is just an inch or so too long. To make this work, I would have to use the shorter fence piece and then add wood to my doorway, which I don’t want to do, so I’ll be returning this. I’d be wary of this gate if your doorway measures 37-39 inches. Otherwise I’d think it would be fine within the 29-49” window.

Our grandson loves out dog ad the dog loves him only the grandson is a bit allergic to the dog. we bough this gate as it can be installed and then opened and closed with taking it down. We have a toy room for the boys and they can go in, lock the gate and keep the dog out. We don't use it on stairs or really, as a safety gate but to allow the boys to keep the dog out of their room. We leave it up all the time as is looks okay and we can get into and out of the room with it installed. It does have a bit of a safety ctach on the lock so small kids could not operate it if that is what you need.

Ordené esta reja para mi bebé y tenía mis reservas ya que leí malas reseñas pero me atrevo a decir que no hagan caso a las malas reseñas ya que cumplió con mis expectativas, llegó en perfecto estado empaquetada, la reja mide lo que dice en la descripción (49”) incluyendo extensiones y se ajustó perfecto a mi espacio de 48.5”/123cm, es de metal, fácil de instalar y queda muy rígida y estable, siempre y cuando LEAS Y SIGAS las instrucciones y la instalen correctamente; vi malas reseñas en cuanto a que es difícil de instalar o que la puerta no cerraba por quedar una abertura grande en la puertita pero literalmente viene con VARIOS letreros en la reja, caja e instrucciones que dicen que la abertura NO ES UN DEFECTO y se va cerrando conforme vayas ajustando la reja presionando con la pared, solo tienes que leer y seguir las instrucciones y será fácil instalarla y quedará segura. Además de la cerradura cuenta con un seguro extra para que no sea fácil que un niño la abra Contras: lo único malo es que la puerta es pequeña y no puedo pasar la carreola por ahí pero eso es porque yo paseo a mi bebé dentro de mi casa, además de que es para dejarse instalada en un solo lugar porque no es práctico estarla quitando y poniendo, pero aún así 10 de 10!!

Love this safety gate! 5 stars! Perfect baby safety gate. It keeps our toddler away from the stairs effectively. Great value for money. Easy to install, sturdy, safe, and it fits perfectly. Total peace of mind!

Excellent. Just what I needed to keep dogs out of our new room. Standard safety gate was to narrow. Easy to install. Took about 5 minutes. Recommended.

Gate works as advertised and is functional. There are some design choices that don't make sense though, and the manufacturer needs to rethink a few things for an updated model. For one, the holes on gate side for the bolts between gate and wall are not threaded; is tensioned to fit tight to wall by a nut that goes on the bolt instead. This reduces the minimum extension amount, narrowing the amount of potential adjustment. Bars on edges are also bent outward, instead of just running straight and requiring another bar, further limiting minimum extension range; I had to break the welds, remove the two bent bars, metal file flat, and touch up paint the spots to get my gate to fit where I needed it. Also, Gate comes with 2 extension pieces, one very narrow, and one quite wide. This gate could traverse a very wide gap in its current form, but I am going to have to throw out the small part in my case. Bolts beteen gate and wall were too short to use the small extension piece in my application, and if I had, gap would have been too wide to keep pets, or a small baby inside and safely out of harms way. Would make more sense to sell the base gate with several even smaller extension pieces linked together, and have an option on how many additional to order, as an ad-on to the base price of the gate if one wants a longer span. That, or allow for more range of adjustment.

Does the job but i thought may be extendable, but it is reliant on the screw bits in the end, if the gap is between the two “extra size” panels, that extend the gate to the extra width. This said, I am only using to keep dogs from going upstairs. I wouldn’t put this at the top of the stairs if I had a toddler as I don't feel it is sturdy enough and it tends to flex as the additional bits (that extend it) are just slotted in. So for keeping toddlers/ dogs out where they are not going to push against it = does the job, bit weak but it does it. Keeping toddler safe where they could fall = I wouldn’t, so avoid as It’s not sturdy enough.
