This SPF moisturizer has been a staple in our home for years. My boys refuse too many skincare steps despite one having aging mid-lifer skin and the other, oily teenager skin. Thankfully, they do actually wash their faces daily in the shower, so they are applying this face lotion on cleansed skin. The best for my rosacea skin! New formulations with hyaluronic acid irritate my skin so badly. I end up with inflamed skin at the end of the day. I hope they bring this or a very similar formulation back (no hyaluronic acid) it was THE BEST.

I needed a face cream for daytime with a sunscreen. Upon reviewing all the creams, I came across this one. It had a good price for the size bottle. Its pump is convenient to dispense small amounts. Let me begin by saying why I gave it 4 stars and not 5: Though I wanted a cream which included a sunscreen, I had no idea how this would FEEL on my face. Upon pumping a small amount onto my finger, the cream feels silky. It glides on smoothly so not a lot is needed. After a minute or two the cream absorbs and there’s a tackiness to my face. (Like when I run my hand along my cheeks, my hand sticks. It doesn’t glide smoothly) Also on my fingers. I quickly realized this is probably because of the sunscreen. (Zinc oxide) It feels “dry” if you can understand. THIS is what I’m not fond of. After an hour or two my face does feel softer but who wants to wait that long. I’ve had other facial creams that have sunscreen in them but don’t have that “dry” feel to them. Maybe I just chose wrong but that wouldn’t deter me from giving an acceptable review. In the end the cream does its job. It’s a good price. I’ll just have to be more wary in my choices next time. I do recommend this product as it does what it says. Just be aware of the FEEL of it I believe because of the zinc oxide.

Someone tell me Eucerin didn’t discontinue this face lotion. It’s been part of my daily routine for over a decade! Ever since I met a dude in his 40s who looked 20. He told me his secret was this lotion on his face every day. I adopted his routine then and it hasn’t disappointed! Please restock!

I’ve been using the Eucerin Daily Protection Face Lotion with SPF 30 for a while now, and it’s become one of those simple staples I don’t really think about—but in a good way. It goes on smooth and absorbs pretty quickly without leaving that heavy, greasy sunscreen feel. I have fairly sensitive skin, and this hasn’t caused any irritation or breakouts, which is a big win for me. It also doesn’t have a strong scent, which I appreciate for something I wear on my face every day. I like that it doubles as both a moisturizer and sunscreen, so it cuts down on steps in my morning routine. It layers well under makeup too—no pilling or weird texture issues. The only minor downside is that if you apply a bit too much, it can feel slightly shiny at first, but it settles down after a few minutes. Overall, it’s a reliable, no-fuss daily face lotion with solid sun protection. I’d definitely keep repurchasing it.

This is both chemical and mineral, which is a plus for us tan individuals that can not get away with a using a sunscreen that is all minerals because it makes us looked ashy and can affect the final look of our makeup. Or worse, you have to wear makeup to cover up the white cast. If applied to heavily, this can give you a slight white cast, but it is doable for my complexion. Works fine under makeup and my favorite part is that is has a bit of chemical sunscreen in there to back up the minerals. Yet, it does not have so much that it stings or burns my skin or eyes. Plus, and this I am really excited about, it is a great price! Use this in the morning everyday to be protected from the aging sun rays. Let it sink into your skin for at least five minutes before applying foundation. I love that this is on subscribe and save. Pros: Pretty lightweight Great everyday SPF protection Combines both mineral and chemical ingredients to create great protection from the sun's harmful rays Does not burn or sting Fantastic price Much less white cast than many of the mineral sunscreens out there that are thick and white. This is lightweight and hard to see on skin. Absorbs better than pure mineral sunscreens, other purely mineral sunscreens sit on top of the skin and form a protective barrier, BUT they can cause makeup to slide around when touched. Cons: Can give a very faint white cast to individuals with dark tan-very dark complexions (this is due to the mineral content). If you have tried some of the other mineral sunscreens but they just don't provide enough protection or they sit funny on the skin under makeup, I highly suggest you try this one. Please Eucerin, keep this one in stock!

This leaves a white cast. Pluses are that your face is only moderately sticky compared to being very sticky with most sunscreens. It is also is not greasy or oily in finish. I'm trialing it in winter so im not sure what the affect will be in summer. However there is a noticeable white cast for brown skinned people. I was hoping to avoid this with a hybrid sunscreen. I have not tried this on my forehead or eyelids so I can't say if it will sting my eyes when I sweat but I did put it under my eyes and to the sides without having any symptoms. I also cannot speak to how well it works. I rarely burn but do get increased hyperpigmentation if I don't wear sunscreen. I can't tell if it's doing anything to prevent that since I wear sunscreen every day. If your skin is white, I would recommend this sunscreen.
