I noticed often when starting it, there was a delay, like a start capacitor had to charge up or something, but it was only like a second or two delay. I see the other items that came with it, and they look to be on par with the parts that I am using. No reason to think they would not work. I like it, for what it is. It will have limited use for me in that the maximum stock size I can use is 2" x 5", but I knew that when I ordered it. Very nice tool.
