Un libro che non dovrebbe mancare sulla scrivania dell'informatico del ventunesimo secolo. Una guida adatta anche a chi non sa nulla di Big data né di Intelligenza artificiale, che spiega in modo organico, per filo e per segno, di cosa stiamo parlando.Molto ben fatti anche gli ultimi capitoli che trattano il Machine Learning, argomento trattato spesso malissimo anche da sedicenti addetti ai lavori che magari ne conoscono solo una minima parte.Ci sono alcuni refusi che però non inficiano la comprensione da parte di un lettore attento. Vista la rapidità con cui si evolve questo mondo, spero in una seconda edizione riveduta e aggiornata.

Il libro è un'ottima guida attraverso tutte le tematiche con le quali un data scientist si trova ad avere a che fare.Non è un libro specialistico, dove trovare dettagli su algoritmi, procedure o tecniche (lo stesso autore rimanda ad altri testi), ma fornisce un'ampia panoramica sui problemi e sugli strumenti a disposizione. L'autore utilizza un linguaggio chiaro e discorsivo. Consigliato per chi ha iniziato o vuole iniziare il percorso di data scientist.

Di lettura scorrevole ma senza cadere nel discorsivo; ricca di contenuti. impostazione tutto sommato strutturata, qui e li qyalche sbavatura. Da una buona panoramica sull'argomento ma non lo chiamerei manuale poichè per tutti i temi trattati ci vorrebbe un'enciclopedia. quello che aggiungerei è il confronto tra i numerosi tool/concetti introdotti e dei quadri sinottici di sintesi.
