Sizing Letterglyph pegs are appx 1.5mm thick (but vary individually) US pennies are also appx 1.5 mm thick (but vary individually) Wood Board Line Spacing Letterglyph letters (particularly the cursive sets) look best if the lines on your board are spaced approximately .25" apart from each other. Some wood boards from major retailers have lines spaced approximately .5" apart from each other. Letterglyph letters will NOT look good on these boards. The letters may appear uneven and not flow together nicely. Get 5 recently minted US pennies and insert them into your board. Try different pennies in different grooves as some wood boards have varying groove widths. Wood Board If the pennies will not fit or are a little tight, Letterglyph pieces will NOT work. The grooves are too small. If it’s easy to insert and remove the pennies with no resistance, Letterglyph pieces will fit your board. You’ll still need to be careful inserting and removing pieces to avoid peg breaks. If the pennies are loose and wiggle in the slots, Letterglyph pieces will be loose in your board.
