Sonic The Hedgehog Archives Volume 0: The Beginning

Bought this for a young man who loves everything to do with Sonic and is an avid collector of everything to do with the character. He loved this comic style book.

Good read, nothing nasty, very enjoyable. My son enjoys having this read to him again and again.

It's great classic Sonic, but the size of it is smaller than I expected. The dimensions advertised are correct (I didn't check them at time of purchase), but I'd just assumed it would be printed at the same size as every other comic or graphic novel, whereas this is about half the size (I assume to save on printing costs?). So it's good, but I feel would have really benefited from being a decent size, hence 4 out of 5 stars.

My 9 year old has been a Sonic fan for years and he absolutely loves these little books. Haven't read them myself but they must be good as he has asked to buy more with some of the money he has saved hard in his piggy. Fantastic for getting any Sonic mad children to read independently.

This little book (which is small in size, actually) is loaded with plenty of humor, references and joy for readers of varying ages. If you read the original mini-series (which comprises this volume), it'll all come back to you. New readers will discover the start of something exciting and funny, and get an interesting look at where the comics started. The book itself is also good for those who want to collect some of the old issues, without the bulk or wear from trying to get original copies. The quality of the pages are nice, and the old details are preserved nicely. It also fits neatly on your shelf, as it's quite thin. Definitely a fine addition to those with subscriptions to the comics, or for those who have picked up later books; and guaranteed to make you laugh.

Hacía mucho tiempo que quería saber cómo eran los cómics de Sonic el Erizo. Gracias al juego 'Sonic Mega Collection' para Nintendo GameCube conocí esta franquicia en papel. El problema era que es un cómic inédito en España, por lo que tuviera que esperar un tiempo después para comprar esta maravilla. A pesar de que el dibujo y los chistes sean regulares, te pueden sacar una sonrisa.

Si eres amante de Sonic, no puede sdejar escapar estos comics de Sonic de Archie. Están en inglés ( nunca se han publicado oficialmente en España), pero se entienden bien. Estos son recopilatorios, de la época clásica, y incluyen historias my interesantes. Muy recomendable.

I bought this book for my son merely because he was having a hard time finding comics about Sonic. He would have been happy regardless of the quality, but when I flipped through I was surprised at the level of detail and content. The authors/publishers could have thrown anything together and it would have been just another book in a sea of ordinary books. This one is far more, and I intend to sneak it away from my son's room as soon as he's done reading it.
