It is thick and feels like it will last forever! We got it initially to store important documents for a family of 5. I thought I would not be able to fit our birth certificates, passports, social security cards, marriage license, mortgage deed, insurance policies, but I did and there is still space! We even bought a second one for our boat to store all the important documents when we go out and our phones so they don't get wet! We had issues with everything getting wet. However, I tested the pouch and it has no leakage of water into it.
