Very nice clock.
Perfect for someone that is hard of hearing. Purchased for my 93 year old dad that has to wake up during the night to check his sugar level.

Alarm function stopped working after 2 months, save your money.
Flimsy cheap material. I purchased this in December of 2025, set it up with fresh batteries and by February 2026, I noticed it didnโt alarm on a couple of occasions. I figured it was my error, but then tried to use it again and it completely failed to alarm, and I missed class because of it. I tried to see what the issue was, and even tested it to alarm after 1-5 minutes, then realized I was bamboozeled and wasted both my money and time. And I took great care of it too; no drops, hits or spills. Do not purchase, longevity is not their goal here.

GREAT FOR HARD OF HEARING....truly
I bought it because I was tired of digital clocks that were easy to set wrong time or accidentally set alarm for PM when you meant AM. This one is simple and so much quicker to set alarm. Like that it is compact, and so loud. I remove my hearing aids when I sleep and this is the loudest one (thats a good thing) that I have ever come across- though it starts low then gets louder as you take longer to shut it off or snooze it. Also good that it is not electric so even during the power outages (common in this area during the winter) still have a reliable clock.

This clock is very good at what it's supposed to do....however
This clock replaces an identical unit that had served well, but only lasted about 1 year. While it was working, its loud and distinctive alarm had woken a very heavy sleeper quite reliably. As it served its function well, I was willing to take a chance that its early (in my opinion) failure was not a normal characteristic and ordered this identical new one. So far, this new clock is functioning as expected...it's reliable, has a quite loud, unique and distinctive buzzer and being analog, is very easy and quick to set both time and alarm. The snooze alarm is also a functional bonus.

This clock has a really loud alarm
This is a simple, battery operated, loud, alarm clock with a large, easy to read face. My husband sleeps through other alarm clocks, and some of the electronic ones are hard to set. This model is perfect for our needs and it doesn't need to be plugged into the wall.

Almost a great little clock, but....
I really wanted to like this clock because it has some great design features and a loud alarm with a real mechanical bell, but it seems to be beset by quality-control problems. I've had three of these in different colors; If you get a good one it's a great clock. The design of most digital alarm clocks made in the last two decades is shockingly poor, with hard-to-read numbers, tiny poorly labelled buttons and controls, alarms that are too soft, and design flaws like being hard to tell if it's set to ring or not and whether it's AM or PM (a tiny red dot indicator can mean either, depending on brand). So I had high hopes for these. It looks and works like a plus-size version of those ubiquitous little quartz analog travel alarm clocks, upsized to fit nicely on a nightstand and be readable from across the room. It is very easy to read whether you get the black or white dial version (I haven't used the one with the thicker font on the numerals, but I like the original thin one better anyway which is still available). The second hand is on the white-face clock is yellow, hard to see but not a big deal - the second hand on a clock like this is mostly just to let you know it's working. It's fairly easy to set the alarm by twisting the top knob on the back (it should have an easier-to-read label to distinguish it from the same-sized time-adjustment knob below it, but that's easy to fix yourself. I dabbed the end of the alarm-set knob with white-out to make it stand out). There's a big button on top for the usual snooze function, but it also doubles as a dial illuminator when the alarm isn't ringing. The light will stay on for a few seconds after you press it and is dim but adequate. The dial and hands also glow in the dark, though faintly and only after lights have been turned off recently. The alarm on/off switch is large and conveniently placed on the right side (rather than the back, making you turn the clock around), and intuitively moves up to set the alarm to ring and down to turn it off, or to set it not to ring. It has a sweep second hand that moves continuously rather than jumping (and ticking) each second. The alarm sounds just like the one in the seller's video. It doesn't actually get louder if you don't turn it off, rather it just rings more continuously. I wish it would do this after maybe 20 seconds rather than just 8 seconds or so to give you more time to turn it off, but it's a nice feature even as it is. Unlike most digital clocks, this thing doesn't distinguish AM from PM. That means you'll never accidently set the clock to wake you at 8PM instead of 8AM because you didn't see that tiny PM indicator light, but also means you canโt set the alarm to ring the next day until the night before. Like most analog alarm clocks, the alarm time isn't super precise - it may be a couple of minutes earlier or later than it looks. It keeps accurate time. There's no low-battery warning, so don't forget to change out the two AA batteries periodically. So far, mostly pretty good. Unfortunately, the quality is iffy. On one clock I had the alarm suddenly became very soft a few weeks after I bought it. The replacement (it failed just before the return period ended) makes a bit of motor noise while the first one (and another I bought later) was silent. The alarm on-off slider moved easily on the one that later broke, but moves stiffly on the other two I still have. I can recommend these because of their mostly good design and ease of use, but make sure yours works properly.

Bought for my deaf elderly dad. He finds it easy to use. We have tried several alarms but he sleeps thru them, this one is very loud and does the job.

Not as loud as proclaimed. My mom can't hear it if she doesn't have her hearing aids in.

I bought this clock a month ago and it worked ok as I use it in my truck, when I came to use it Sunday night I found the batteries seem to have gone flat but the plastic covering the batteries had split, I bought fresh batteries (Duracell) and the clock worked fine, by the morning 8hrs later the clock had stopped again but it was that hot and it smelled like it was melting from the inside, you couldn't touch the batteries because of the heat so I chucked it in the nearest skip. I could just be a one off but be sure it's ok before you leave where it could do more serious damage

Clock only lights up one small corner making it unable to see time. Cost 19 dollars to return my 58 * dollars it cost me . Not worth all this aggravation.
