## Description

Growth Technology PH buffer 4 and 7 solutions are of a known and fixed PH, which are used to calibrate your PH meter and should be done on a regular basis to ensure ongoing accuracy from the meter. Pour out a small amount to use for calibration and remember to discard the used solution when finished, do not pour it back into the container as it will contaminate your new solution. First use PH buffer 7 solution to calibrate your meter to neutral, once this is done we recommend you then use PH buffer 4 to calibrate your meter to this level, this will give you a two point calibration and be far more reliable than just calibrating to one..

A: Don't see why not, ph buffer is ph buffer after all.

**Q: Is this product listing for both 'buffer 4' and 'buffer 7' - i.e. 2 x bottles of solution?**
A: Yes.

**Q: What is expiring date?**
A: There's nothing written on the bottles to state use by date.  I only started stocking these 2 weeks ago so I have only just acquired them direct from growth technology.

**Q: So I pour some of this in a glass and calibrate my pen - That's it, No distilled water required?**
A: Yes you are right. I usually use the cap itself.

Regular calibration of any pH meter with accurate buffer solutions is esssential for getting accurate pH readings. These buffers are supplied in sensible black plastic bottles and the solutions have different colours (pH 7 is green, pH 4 is red) to avoid mix-ups. Much easier than dissolving up powders to prepare your own solutions.
