We've just gone through -5 degree frosts where I live and several ceramic and terracotta pots have split or shattered, but not this one! It is frost resistant. But the best thing about it is that it is perfect for ALL birds. They are all able to use it, whatever their size, because of the stepped surface and they seem to be much more at ease and feel safe, standing where they wish. It is big enough for a pigeon to have a wallow and a blackbird to splash about, or a party of sparrows. Several birds drink from it at a time and it is visited by many birds every day. I wanted one that complimented the garden's natural colours, without being brash, and this fits the bill (pun intended) while also having a beautiful range of colours and glazes. It is easy to lift off the feet to wash and re-fill. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Gorgeous *by D***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 June 2019* I have to admit I had missed the bit that said these items were seconds until after I had ordered so was a little worried, however when it arrived (very well packaged) it looks stunning, very classy, with gorgeous green glazing and an inscription around the rim, and i would struggle to tell you why it's a second. More importantly the user survey! From the minute i put it out the birds have used it, i opted for ground standing as my garden is very uneven. There are ridges around the sides so the birds dont slip in, i have put a slightly larger pebble to one side as for the smaller birds as it is quite deep at the centre if you fill it fully, however the blackbirds, thrushes and starlings dive straight in the middle and have a good old bath and the smaller birds stand off to the sides and splash about. It is not the biggest bath as some reviews stated, but I ordered knowing its size as that's what I wanted. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Birds will come! *by L*** on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 July 2019* Initially the birds didn't use it in the area of the garden I first placed it. I moved it once and on the second day they were all over it! Had about eight sparrows fighting over it at one stage - especially in the heat wave of last week!! I guess you have to be patient for them to find it and get used to where its been placed. They come for a splash and some to drink. I really love how its been made, the green colour is beautiful. Have not yet decided if I want the stand or not.
