Prevents loosening and leakage from shock & vibration: It occupies all gaps between mating threads and cures into a hard thermoset plastic that strengthens against shock and vibration. Low strength: It is suitable for applications that need frequent disassembly, as it can be easily removed using standard hand tools and for metals prone to shearing. Bonds well despite minor surface contamination due to industrial oils, e.g. motor oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids. Works well on even passive metal surfaces like stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. Fluorescent: It has a characteristic purple colour that fluoresces under UV light. This helps during service to detect as to whether the product had been applied.

Review: As expected - Good Loctite, just the same as I have always used. The bottle was new, and it works as expected. I use this for 4-40 screws just to give them a little vibration resistance so they don’t come loose. This stuff is removable, so it is easy to service the equipment if needed. For some reason, the bottle is labeled “Not for sale outside India.” I’m not sure where this bottle came from, but it works the same as any other 222 Loctite I have bought.

**Q: Hi,this is usa version or chinese?**
A: Neither it is the INDIA version and it does not dry

**Q: Can this be use in camera lens screws, which are mostly plastic housings and metal screws? I am trying to repair my camera lens**
A: I use it for very teeny screws 0-90, etc in metal to metal configurations and I find it gets harder than I like sometimes even though I'm careful to wipe them almost dry.  Answer:  I would not use on anything plastic especially small threads.

Good Loctite, just the same as I have always used. The bottle was new, and it works as expected. I use this for 4-40 screws just to give them a little vibration resistance so they don’t come loose. This stuff is removable, so it is easy to service the equipment if needed. For some reason, the bottle is labeled “Not for sale outside India.” I’m not sure where this bottle came from, but it works the same as any other 222 Loctite I have bought.
