The high pitch is REALLY high and long, the next lower pitch is a bit low. But with some moving the machine around and the batter adjusting, it works ok. Better for my 5-year-old grandson than my older two at 8 and 10. The older ones are used to fast pitches and they don't have the patience to adjust. Quality of the machine is not bad, heavier than I expected. With the machine being plastic, I am not expecting it to last that long with a lot of use from active boys. Getting the feeding tube together - I can tell it will not be long before it doesn't fit anymore, the plastic tabs do not fit that well. Value for the money?
