Truth is the bar slot that the chain rides in becomes loaded with debris which blocks bar oil and increases friction. If you remove your bar and chain, slide a piece of wood around that slot (I use a modified chop stick) to clean it out. When reassembled, 2 pumps of bar grease at the roller bearing. If done, your equipment will run cooler and last longer.
