I took it apart with a screw driver and cut the speaker wires to stop the sound. It was easy to do, IMO. **Q: I ordered a similar product from another seller but I received a very small product with half inch penguins. is your prduct the small one? or the big?** A: The penguins are more than an inch high; the entire toy is about a foot high. My children played a lot with it, and it still exists, the plastic is not broken, only the mechanics inside is now so much worn down that it cannot lift more than one penguin on that moving staircase. But it was certainly worth the money with my children. I findthe music annoying, but the children like it. **Q: Is it possible to get replacement penguins?** A: I haven’t seen them anywhere. I purchased this for my child for xmas. It was a hit, and they played with it for long periods of time, which I was happy to witness. However, I wish there was a volume adjuster, because once that music gets turned on, it is loud and can be difficult to listen to for those long periods of play. Luckily, yes you can turn off the music while the toy is still on. But otherwise, this was one of my favs to gift to my child. It's sturdy, and endlessly entertaining for no other reason than watching those little penguins go up and down the little stairs on their own and slide down and do it allover again. I did not experience the penguins getting stuck that often. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ still a great toy *by X***X on September 25, 2012* My wife had this toy in her childhood, three decades ago. This is still exactly the same toy, and our children aged 2 and 4 still enjoyed it much. They probably would enjoy it again, if I were to search the three pieces of the track, and the penguins, and put it together again; the two-year old tended to take it apart. Also the music is for an adult annoying and too loud, although the children like that much, too. The toy is cheap for its play-value. Of course it is plastic, and not expected to be very durable, but although it received some mistreatment from my younger son, I could put it together again, and it would still work; only finding the penguins gets difficult now. So I recommend this toy; the mechanical idea of the stair-climbing is nice, and my children were fascinated by the toy, and fought about it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really Cute and Brings Back Memories *by E***. on January 7, 2020* I remember these little penguin racers from when I was a child. My son loves dogs and things with wheels, so when I saw this I couldn't resist. The assembly was a little tricky. It's only a few steps, but you have to get the slides lined up correctly to make sure the dogs don't get caught in the middle tunnel. Both my kids (3 and 5) love playing with this, as did my older nephews when they were over for the holidays. The music is a little tedious, but the manufacturers put three settings on the power, so you can play it without the music (awesome).
