Bought 3 each of the XL Tundras and Chilling Brews.  The Tundras performance were a disappointment for what I generally need my cooler to do so I returned them.  With a properly pre chilled cooler, and used as designed these blocks are probably sufficient in keeping frozen items frozen.  But, I don't really need my cooler to be a freezer, rather I need for it to maintain temps slightly below freezing (28° F) for long periods of time which is what I get with the Chilling Brew version of these blocks.  I have a 65 qt Pelican cooler that I pre chilled and lined the bottom with 3 frozen XL Chilling Brews and filled it full with pre chilled canned and bottled beverages.  I placed 2 of the frozen Tundras on top of it all and yes the cooler was opened and closed frequently.  The Tundras warmed and returned to liquid relatively fast (several hours) while the Chilling Brews were still frozen days later.  For my use in practically all cases the Chilling Brews are the much better option as the Tundras are ineffective and over priced imo.

After following the instructions, about freezing, I placed the order in my Pelican Cooler to pre chilling. (old style ). Then adding a fresh tundra pack to the bottom. . Added cold water bottles food , and a few other things, then added ice. They actually worked. Everything stays like a block of ice . (had to take an ice pick to break the frozen ice). The Tundra kept the ice frozen 4 full days in the Florida heat.Just follow the instructions for freezing, and you can't go wrong.I'll be ordering more. Amazon shipping was fantastic along with the price too.

Bought two of these, the hype sounded great.  In reality a quart milk bottle filled with water and frozen work better.  The packs will not stay frozen for more than 4 hours, and are room temperature after 6 hours.  This is in a Yeti 30 qt cooler.  The only up side is that the plastic housing will last much longer than the "free" milk bottle
