These are great for my smoothies and for my metal coffee cups that I take daily. Since they are thicker they do not get clogged like a regular sized straw would. The straw is heavy duty enough it works for hot drinks too. I also use them for our water glasses and everyday drinks. I am on a mission to living a more environmentally positive life and using these reusable straws is a great first step! The straws seem very sturdy and well made, and the coloring used in the straws is actually colored plastic (while this seems like something obvious you would be surprised how many other straws I have seen where the color seems to be just painted on and thats not something I want chipping into my drink, so this is a big plus!). The size of the straws is great and it is a weight off my shoulders that they are made with bpa free, food grade plastic. The only thing that could have made this better was if they had included some sort of straw pipe cleaner with the order for cleaning.
