I suggest removing the doors and laying them flat. Use a genorus amount and follow instructions. I also used primer in a spray can before painting. **Q: Will this work on shiny old wood paneling walls?** A: Yes, use as directions say. This works great. I did all my kitchen cabinets with this product. **Q: Would I use this if I want to put a glaze over my existing wood cabinets?** A: I wouldn’t use it for that. Glazes are intended for use on finished wood. So, i would just make sure to clean your cabinets well before applying a glaze to them. **Q: We dont plan to paint or refinish...just want to tone down the high gloss. Will it turn the poly gloss milky/cloudy?** A: I did not notice that the finish was milky/cloudy after using this deglosser but the finish was definitely dulled. I was using on cupboards from the eaerly 90s and cupboards from the early 60s. Deglossed about 32 cabinets doors with one bottle. 1 year later and paint still looks new. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think it worked *by A***R on July 22, 2016* I used this product over a very glossy textured ceiling. As another reviewer did, I rolled on the product over the entire ceiling. The only problem I had was in spots where there was too much product, it would bubble up and peel off. I used some steel wool to scratch off all the problem areas. This stuff seems to add a layer of chalky matte finish over the glossy paint rather than actually degloss the finish.
