I was rather unimpressed with my wall after painting it with a glitter additive until I used a pad to buff up afterwards. It completely changed the wall effect from rather dull to amazingly sparkling & glitzy. It looks fantastic! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sparkle *by E***H on 29 August 2025* Made such a huge diffrence to the sparkle achieved ### ⭐ Not fit for purpose *by M***N on 10 September 2018* OK, so after buying the Hemway glitter stars paint additive to create a galaxy effect on my daughter's bedroom wall, I was left with a very dark and unglittery surface with all the stars covered with a layer of paint. I started to buff the top layer off with an old towel and damp microfibre cloth which seemed very time consuming so I decided to try these ''official'' buffing pads. Bearing in mind you are supposed to use a silk emulsion as a base for the glitter, which gives a nice sheen, these scratchy pads do nothing more than scratch and dull the surface of the paint. I also found that half the stars dropped off in the process of being buffed, which defeats the object. It took a lot of pressure to reveal any stars at all and would have taken an impossibly long time to complete the full wall. Maybe these work better with the fine glitter but I went back to using my microfibre cloth and towel which didn't scratch the surface and revealed the stars in a quarter of the time. It still took me hours to complete the job as the glitter does not repel the surface paint at all. I'll be sending these back I'm afraid; don't waste your money. ## Frequently Bought Together - Hemway 2 x White Paint Buffing Pads - for use Glitter Paint Additives - Unleashes Thousands More Glitter Crystals - Hemway (Silver) Glitter Paint Additive Crystals 100g / 3.5oz for Acrylic Latex Emulsion Paint - Interior Exterior Wall, Ceiling, Wood, Varnish, Dead Flat, Matte, Gloss, Satin, Silk --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/66846349-paint-buffing-pads-x-2-use-with-our-glitter-paint](https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/66846349-paint-buffing-pads-x-2-use-with-our-glitter-paint) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Kingdom* *Store origin: GB* *Last updated: 2026-11-08*
