**Q: Should I use it for coaster brakes?**
A: It will work well on any chain and makes no difference of what braking system you have. It is more about the weather type in the area you ride. Such as a lot of rain or extreme dryness. These are all deciding factors. This particular formula of Epic Ride covers most. As a suggestion for typical riding, clean your chain, dry and reapply 4 times a year.

**Q: should the chain be degreased before using Epic Ride?**
A: Yes, especially if the chain is dirty it should be cleaned first. A thick buildup of old grease could cause more dirt to accumulate. My chain was dirty so before I used Epic Ride I thoroughly cleaned the chain. I used kerosene, but you can use whatever you have available. Just make sure the chain is dry before applying Epic Ride. After each ride I wipe the chain with a rag and reapply.

**Q: Is it biodegradable**
A: I would say call the manufacturer. The label doesn't give that information.

**Q: What exactly does "Light" mean in this context? How does it compare to a lubricant that's not "light"?**
A: It is more dry than most wet lubricants. See White Lightening Clean Ride which is a dry lube sets up as a dry wax film. You would use Epic ride for longer rides over non-light lubricants in conditions of dust or mud. It's all I use on my optibike electric bike and it has served well.
