**Q: What do you color the back with? Markers, crayons… I don’t really want to give my 6 year old sharpies, but I want his designs to stay.**
A: I gave this shield to my six year old grandson.  He never tried to customize it with ink or paint so I’m not sure what medium would be best if you want your child’s designs to be permanent.
