Unbeatable Deal!
This is my second AOFAR rangefinder. My daughter took over the first one so I upgraded to this one with the magnet. I could not be happier with this rangefinder. It does everything the expensive units do at a fraction of the price. My first one I've had over a year with zero issues.

I really like this unit
I have used several range finders over the years for hunting or shooting targets. I have to say this one, which I actually got to use as a raffle prize at a charity golf tournament, has become my favorite and I might just keep it. I took it out of the box to check it out and test it for the review. While I will not be able to speak to longevity at this point, I can speak to initial quality and satisfaction. To start with, it feels more solidly made than some of my other ones. But what I really like the best is the digital display. It's the easiest to read out of all my range finders. It's large and orange making it stand out and very visible. I personally don't use the slope feature and I like that you can turn that off and get it off the display to reduce screen clutter. It uses a non-standard type battery but it comes with one that is very easy to install with a battery cover that's secure but user friendly even for older arthritic hands. As far as accuracy, I had a premeasured target set up that was actually measured off with a tape measure, not a digital device. It's a 100 yard target and this range finder read exactly 100 yards when I pushed the button. If it wasn't bright white I would actually keep this one for hunting. But since it is, some lucky golfer will be winning it soon.

I prefer the GX-2S
I own the AOFAR GX-2S for the past two seasons and have been pleased with its' features and performance with the exception that the GX-2S does not have a magnet. Well, I purchased the 6X-10W because it does have a magnet. Today, I had the opportunity to utilize both AOFAR rangefinders side by side. In my view, the GX-2S is easier to use, acquires the target faster, can toggle between yards and meters, and costs less...it just doesn't have a magnet. The GX-2S will remain in my golf bag and the 6X-10W will be regulated to the shelf and backup status. If you don't absolutely need a magnet, I recommend the AOFAR GX-2S.

Pretty good rangefinder although accuracy could be better
It is compact, well made and provides very good optical quality of the distant objects. No being a golf player, my intention was to use it for hunting with a rifle. I like doing ballistic calculations to enhance my shooting accuracy with different ammo at different distances and slopes. I've done some tests of the accuracy of this rangefinder and found it is not consistent even when taking consequent distance measurements to the same object. The variance was about +/- 1 foot at 100 yards. This is not a deal breaker for hunting but if you want/need more accuracy in measurements look elsewhere.

Quality item
I bought a range finder 2 years ago but was never really happy with its performance. So with this I I thought I would give it another chance. These units can be pricey and this seemed more reasonable but the question would be performance, accuracy and optionality To start with the packaging was like buying an Apple device. Very slick. It is a battery powered device which is fine as it has an auto shut off which is a plus. Another feature is the very strong secure magnet on the side that you can attach to the cart. VERY SECURE. Undulations and all. The storage case is solid as well for easy safe storage in your bag. The unit itself seems to be very high quality and durable. The viewfinder quality is very clear and buttons are well designed for ease of use. You can also select modes for measurements in yards or meters or use for constant distances or flag detection. There is also the ability to change colors in the viewfinder as well. All in I am pleased with this device although to be honest I have only used it on the course once so far. But the old one I gave to a friend. So that probably says enough.

Nice quality, lots of features at a reasonable cost
Love the case it comes in. It's got a zipper, but if you're going to be in there all the time, just flip the bungee over the button. Also, a Carabiner to hang it on the bag. If you want to keep it out, it has a nice heavy magnet that secures to anything slightly metal. It's not rechargeable and takes a battery. I'm not sure if that matters to me. The batteries are cheap, and one will last me a season. Do be careful when installing the battery as the threads are very fine and easy to cross thread. As for function, it finds and locks on to the flag quickly. It has a red display adjustment if the light is low. I need this because my eyes are so bad. Anything to help is appreciated. I've tested distance against my play partners range finders and it's accurate within a yard of theirs. I think this will serve me for many years.

Not good past 200 yards
I am returning mine. It isn’t accurate past 200 yards. Other than that, I liked it.

Fast Lock
Locks onto the flag fast. Faster than other rangefinders I've used in the past. The magnet sticks well to metal objects. Its not going to fall off of the frame of the cart. This seems relatively accurate. I tried this with other rangefinders. It was within a yard of 2 of the other ones. Its hard to know which one is accurate and which one isn't. The others are around the same specs/cost as this. The tournament mode is an LED. It is VERY bright. You are not going to be accused of cheating if you have tournament mode on. I've never seen one that bright. I don't like the case. The case opens lengthwise instead of widthwise. When they open widthwise the finder can sit in it with it open without falling out. They usually have 2 elastic bands that form a sleeve to keep it in place if its not zipped. This case opens the entire length of the case and there is no way the finder is sitting in the case with it open without it falling out. So you must keep this completely zipped up when not in use. I like the wrist strap. It doesn't come with a magnetic clip

Built with nice materials and is a good weight. I tested it in the backyard to shoot distances in anticipation of my next golf round, and the functions are impressive. I would definitely recommend this rangefinder. Plus, AOFAR sells this exact rangefinder on its website for a far greater price, and their website gives the history of the company and its products which also gave me confidence in the quality of the product.

It is really good!

Works great. IMO. Slope on ould be swapped around. So you have to turn it on not off. Also side light should flash when slope active, not when disabled

Very easy to use. It lets you know when you’re on target and the slope function is very much appreciated. Seems like it’s well made - time will tell. Great price, too!

Works as advertised; locks unto flag very quickly and distance readings are fairly accurate. This is my 2nd AOFAR (1st one was 1st gen) and I love both. My pals with the more expensive brand names are kinda envious after finding out the cost.
