I use this primarily for verifying reloads and factory seating dimensions on 5.56, where OAL measurements can be all over the place with open tip match bullets. Toss the adapter on your caliper, insert the bushing, zero it out, and you're ready to go for super simple ogive or base to shoulder measurements. A fantastic tool at a fraction of the price of the big brands.
