Great saw for the price!!
If you're looking for a good saw but don't want to spend a ton this is the saw for you. I bought mine almost a year ago and it has done everything I've wanted it to. We've had a couple big trees go down on the property and this saw had no issues. The only issue I've had so far is a stretched chain which is to be expected with the amount of use its had (around 3 cords of wood cut for the wood stove), and the pull cord broke but a replacement was only $15. Unless you're a professional logger do yourself a favor and save some cash by buying this saw. I've attached a picture of one of the oaks we chopped up.

Needs Lock Nuts for the Clutch/Chain Cover
This is a great saw for the money. I bought the 58cc/20" variety. It has great power but it is a bit thirsty because of it. It started on the 3rd pull right out of the box and runs great. The handle assembly feels cheap and I often hit the kill switch with my thumb as it is very close to the handle. My only real issue is keeping the chain tight and the cover on. My first use I lost one of the nuts for the chain tensioner/cover and the other came loose. It ruined the chain so I replaced that and tried again. If I make the nuts too tight the chain binds up. So I used a lock nut I had in stock and the remaining original one. My next use saw the remaining original nut loose and gone and my lock nut holding the cover on. Otherwise the saw is a beast. It easily cuts thick logs. It always starts easily and runs great. I would recommend it. It is tought to beat for the price.

Super useful!!!
I donโt normally post reviews but this little saw is amazing for the money! Itโs well built, cuts great itโs easy to assemble and started in 3 pulls right out of the box and ran perfectly! No adjustments needed! Itโll be going on my UTV out on the trails and used around the property for light duty cutting and limbing! My wife loves using it too!!! 5 stars all day long!!!!

Couldn't be happier. Fantastic saw. Ripps.
When I bought the saw I figured I would have to do some of those tune up things to get it ripping. When the saw came I had my wrenches ready to adjust the carburetor and possibly do some work on the exhaust. But I figured I would just start it and see where I'm at right out of the box. This saw started up right away. I did spray some oil and gas into the spark plug hole, but that was just to make sure it had oil on initial startup. The saw started right up for me and it ripped. Throttle response was instant and the Max RPM was very high. There was nothing that I needed to do. I ran two tanks of 25 to 1 and let it idle until it ran out of gas just for break in. The first time I had to use the saw it started up on the 2nd or 3rd pull and ran great. Factory chain cut through oak logs like butter. I was really impressed with subsequent startups on the first pull. I'm not a professional logger but I'm going to use this more than most homeowners. I'm going to recommend this to everybody.

Starts very easy!
Starts fairly easy; does not having a primer bulb, but with the choke on for 2-3 priming pulls and then half choke, it usually starts in 1-2 pulls. The pull cord is made in a way that it does not require a lot of strength to pull, and seems to store energy then release it. The saw does vibrate a lot, but if you were gloves eye protection and hearing protection youโll be fine. Decent saw for the price, but be careful with it! Also, the scrench holder in the handle is awesome, but sometimes it is a bit hard to get out. I would also suggest a carb tuning kit and tuning the carb slightly; out of the box mine needed to warm up to run good, but now itโs ok to use pretty much right off startup!

Great chainsaw for the price
120 dollar chainsaw?? Very skeptical on the purchase. But to my surprise this worked great. Had some big tress fall in my yard from a storm and cut through them like butter and with no bogging down. If your a homeowner and need to cut some trees down this is a great affordable chainsaw. I would also recommend to buy the pre mixed trufuel 40:1 mix green can home depot carries it. My only bad knock on it is the plastic chain guard gets caught up on the chain when putting it on or taking it off

You need to know
Overall, the saw ran great on the first 2 runs. 3rd run discovered poor engineering. I pulled the saw out and attempted to start it. After 5 min. of trying to start it, fuel was coming out of the exhaust. The switch was in the on position and the choke was pulled out. Didn't even hint on starting the whole time. Upon breakdown to remove filter and spark plug, I noticed the air filter was clogged by sawdust. That is not an issue I've had on another saw. Once the excess fuel was cleared and the filter was cleaned, it ran good. Couple days later I went to start the saw and the chain wanted to rotate. Discovered the clutch had failed. The hook on the spring broke. I'm currently in contact with vevor about the clutch specifications so that I can buy a quality clutch. I would buy this saw again, just upgrade/modify a few things. For $106, not a horrid buy. When the saw is running, it cuts pretty quick and the weight of it isn't too bad. I found on first operation, it was super easy to use. It started up within 5 pulls of the cord. I would say that if you don't know how to troubleshoot, you need to stay away from this saw. If you don't know how to break in a 2 stroke engine, stay away from this saw. If you don't know how to take care of a saw, stay away from any saw. Preventive maintenance well help, but doesnt help poor engineering. I do intend on doing some modifications and upgrades to help prolong the life of this saw.

Good enough chainsaw, Amazon so so and hopefully review has helpful info.
A rating of 3.5 stars would be most accurate. But I rounded up since the saw did exceed what was rather low expectations on my part. Based on reviews, this seems to rather a lottery type purchase. There is roughly 75% chance you'll love the saw and a roughly 25% chance you'll regret the purchase. I don't regret the purchase. Why? And why my low initial expectations? It was going to cost $72 a day to rent a 20" gas chainsaw from Home Depot. With transportation and waiting I'd be out a couple of hours every time I rented one. So basically if this saw worked for two days I'd save both time and money. I've used the saw three days now. And day three was the best in terms of ease of starting. So....exceeds expectations. Now a few things to go over 1) It can be finicky about starting. No surprise for small two stroke engines. It floods easily so the Choke IS NOT your friend. Ignore the instructions VEVOR sends on starting. Follow the internet advice. Cold it's switch on - (and "O" is the OFF position) choke out, pull twice, push choke in and pull till it starts (usually 2-4 times). If it doesn't start repeat the steps. It FLOODS EASY!!! Do not leave the choke out more than 2-3 pulls. The advice for starting it if it has flooded is like the game of twister. You have to hold the throttle wide open while you crank it. But to start normally and safely you need a foot and both hands. Holding the throttle wide open needs a third hand. Get help. Once it's been running a while it starts easy first pull. EXCEPT if you let it run out of gas. Then cross your fingers because it probably will take lots of pulls and sweating to get it going again. So I learned to use it for a while then turn it off and top off the tank. 2) As some other reviews have mentioned, the saw I got leaks bar oil when stored. Makes it a bit messy. I've put a plastic tray underneath it like people use pet food/water bowls. Saw lives in my yard barn which is messy anyway so not a horrid problem. But it is a defect and if you keep your yard tools inside a nice. clean shop or garage you might want to place it on something to catch any oil leaking until you know if you got one that does leak. 3) The saw does cut really well. I don't have enough experience with gas chainsaws to compare to the more expensive brands. It seems unlikely the much more expensive brands of chainsaws cut way better since this one does really seem to have plenty of power and cuts thick and hard wood quickly. It's way, WAY more powerful and faster cutting than my 14" electric (plug in) chainsaw. 4) Amazon won't let you return this if you get a defective one. Other - brick and mortar retailers with lots of locations - sell this same saw online at similar prices and it can be returned. Often online and always to a store. If it's gas powered Amazon say it's hazardous to ship back. Hmmm. They shipped it to me.... Anyway - keep this in mind and maybe it should be purchased somewhere else or maybe it's especially wise to purchase the warranty. Amazon doesn't want it back but the insurance will cover either fixing it or give $$ back.

This saw is unbelievabley great value.
I've been very impressed with Vevor bench and hand tools. I have a few of their tools and found them all not just a great value, but well made. Still, I was a bit skeptical about buying a Vevor chainsaw. I replaced an old Poulan with this Vevor and was blown away. Super easy setup and put it through a full day of clearing Maple after a bad ice storm. First pull start once it's warm. Runs fantastic. Doesn't bog down easily even when you push it hard. The chain did stretch quite a bit after a few hours of hard use but that's typical. Tools were included and came in handy to adjust chain and tighten the bar. Fully recommended. Incredible value.

Great saw
Great saw for small tasks or to take along on atv or snowmobile, starts very good, even better than big brand name saws. Runs and cuts great. Amazing price.

Get what you pay for, super cheap and complicated replacement.
First unit received was extremely defective. Awful client service from VEVOR, feeding you with 24-48 hours responds and no solutions.... luckily, Amazon got this and sent me another unit.Missing chainsaw cover. Worked with it 10 minutes, the engine started smoking and smelt like burnt plastic, it shut off and would not start again. Pulling rope came off, and plastic melt from pulling the rope trying to start it again. Checked the gas and when put plug back on, filets went off. So now can't even close the gas tank. Oil tank sucked the plug in, when tried to open it with the tool, plastic broke off....all screws coming loose while using it, almost lost exhaust... Replaced pulling rope 3 times to try restart the machine... Will see if VEVOR ever responds and fixes the saw, as it's still guaranteed, because I've bought the tool only 8 days ago ๐ ๐ค

Canโt beat the price - runs right out of the box
For the price - this monster runs second pull out of the box. Runs / idles just like a stihl. It might be slower cutting than a big brand name, but for the price just buy 2 or 3 and keep on cutting wood. The price of the saw and chain is equivalent to buying 2 bar and chain sets from stihl. So 2 thumbs up for VEVOR.
