Okay! This thing was not our first choice but we are glad we got it! The device uses SmartLife or Tuya as the integration app. The application found the feeder right away. Once in application it allows you to set the feed intervals schedule day-to-day. You can set the portions 1,2,3,4 all the way up to 12 and for the fattier pups you to slow feed the pet. It will dispense each portion at a time. The application notifies you that feeding was successfully started and th best part is you can watch them, talk to them and even give them a little extra as a treat. The container held enough food for a week feeding 3 portions per bowl (2 bowls) for 3 small dogs. I mounted the feeder to the provided wall bracket to hold the feeder steady and prevent it from being knocked over. For those times that power is out, it has backup battery to keep the pups fed. Great for most pets that eat small kibble, super easy to setup, great quality. My dogs love it.

Purchased this feeder for a specific situation - I have two cats - a boy and a girl - with different eating habits. My boy does not overeat, so I can safely leave food for him all day. My girl will eat constantly if food is available and gains weight quickly. Therefore, food for the boy is on top of the refrigerator - he easily jumps there. The girl cannot jump there, but she also needs to be fed when I am not home. This device completely solved the problem - now I can control her portions and feeding schedule. Feeder exceeded all expectations. Can control feeding manually or set automatic schedule. Feeding schedule executes precisely on time. App is convenient and user-friendly. Device is reliable, works with either power outlet or batteries. Particularly important - it works with local storage via SD card. Other models require mandatory subscription to cloud services, which did not suit me. There are very few models with local storage on the market. With SD card I get full control over monitoring. Can watch live video 24/7 or review recordings at any time. Motion sensor automatically records video when cats approach or walk nearby. Can also talk to them live or use pre-recorded voice messages. This is very convenient - you are not dependent on anyone, everything works autonomously. What also impressed me - some time after purchase, the manufacturer contacted me themselves to check if everything works properly. This is the first time I have encountered such a proactive approach to customers. Company truly cares about customers and product quality. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I've owned this feeder for a couple of months now. I replaced a failing auto feeder that would keep dumping food and was a pain to program. I got this feeder because it has an app that allows you to program and change the settings from the phone instead of getting on the floor and endlessly pushing buttons on the feeder. The app it uses is one I already had on my phone to control my smart plugs so very easy to get started. Setup and programming was a breeze using the app. I didn't buy this feeder for the camera function and kind of figured it was a gimmick, was I wrong. I have 3 cats and can never tell who is eating when the food drops unless I am in the room at the time. With the camera I can see who and how much each cat eats and send another serving if needed so everyone stays fed. It has saved me many trips from bed when I hear my large male cat digging in the cat food bag early morning. Just pull up the app and hit the feed button to appease him. The large size of the food hopper allows me to fill it once every week or 2 with 3 cats being fed. The stainless bowl helps with keeping things clean and germ free. The top lid stays secure so the cats can't get into it when unattended. So far it has dispensed on schedule and the correct portion every time.

Working well for us. Such a peace of mind that we can put out food anytime . I wish we had this before . It takes stills photos of anyone coming by. You can also bring up live video and it comes up quickly. There is no hour delay like our blink cameras . You can keep watching kitty tv without having to hit continue like our blink cameras. It holds alot of food and you can press the button anytime to put some out for your cat. It comes with an anchor but we didn’t anchor it yet. But if you’re outside or have a dog or child you probably should. A raccoon has tried to take ours 3 times already and then got stuck because it was plugged into the wall. But he knocked it down and threw it. It didn’t break open. And it still works. I highly recommend this product. The peace of mind and convenience of being able to make sure you cat is getting fed is such a relief . Now I don’t have to worry that someone else stole his food and watch him go hungry like before . Just make sure it’s anchored . Thankfully we were always home when the raccoon struck but we will anchor it for the future for while we are at work or away . Photos attached are photos taken by the feeder . Great quality!!! Make sure to turn on motion detector to get photos taken for you so you know who is getting fed . (Unless you only have one inside cat of course ) we changed out the bowl for our own ceramic bowl but the one that comes with it is plastic and relatively large as well.

I haven’t tried the feeder part yet. I still need to test the feeder functionality. I bought this for vacation use but still need to do test run & introduce it to the cats. The camera is great quality. The photo I have attached is outside at night being used for our strays. So very minimal light and you can still see great, it has like its own light that isn’t visible somehow and you can only see it on the screen not in person. Audio works well both ways. It works almost like a walkie talkie I believe. I think you can’t really hear anything unless noise is detected and then you can hear. Which is probably good for reducing background noise. But I was able to hear them meow. Will update after trying the feeding function. The size capacity is large. It’s about the size of my food container for my strays, I feed 1-7 / night and my container usually lasts a few days so this should be just fine. Visually, it’s aesthetically pleasing and looks nice. It’s all good quality. The bowl is decently wide and shallow, could be better especially if using for every day feeding and not just vacation feeding. If everyday I’d maybe see if I could place a bigger bowl below it to prevent whisker fatigue. I love that it has the option for batteries in case of a power outage. This is a great safety feature.

We absolutely LOVE this automatic feeder — easily one of the best purchases we’ve made in a long time! We were away for almost a month, and being able to check in and watch our baby eat gave us so much peace of mind. Our cat sitter only needed to stop by every other day since feeding was completely taken care of. The camera even helped us discover that a few stray cats come by to visit her sometimes — lol! We probably never would have known otherwise. Thankfully, they don’t bother her food or water. We also haven’t experienced any of the Wi-Fi issues that some other reviews mentioned. The feeding schedule works perfectly, and everything has been reliable so far.

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about the Frienhund Automatic Cat Feeder with 2K Camera. This thing is a total game changer. The 2K camera quality is crystal clear, even at night thanks to the night vision, so I can check on my cat anytime and actually see what he’s doing, not just a blurry shape. The app control is seamless. I can adjust feeding schedules, portion sizes, and monitor everything straight from my phone with zero hassle. But the best part? The two-way audio. I can literally talk to him when I’m not home, and he responds to my voice. That alone makes this worth it. The custom voice recording feature is also such a thoughtful touch. I recorded a little message that plays before his food is dispensed, and now he comes running every time. It keeps his routine consistent even when I’m not there. Setup was quick, and once connected, it’s been very reliable. One quick note: it does not connect to 5GHz WiFi networks, so you’ll need to use a 2.4GHz connection during setup. Once I switched over, everything worked perfectly. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. This is one of those rare products that actually exceeds expectations. 10/10, would absolutely recommend.

This is a great cat feeder. We use it while on vacation. We can see our baby eat and know what time she is getting fed. It was easy to set up and down load the app. You can hear the foot when it falls out, and so can the cat- she comes running! It is made of mostly plastic with a stainless steel bowl, so I do not use it all the time because of the plastic. You can take it apart to clean. The bowl and bowl holder can go in the dishwasher, but the rest needs to be hand washed because of the camera. If you have a food obsessed cat I strongly advise you to bold the feeder to the wall. Our cat was able to push the feeder on its side so then the food would not come out. Also, if your cat is determined, they can get the top off. We velcro the top and that made it much better. It is a good automatic feeder for the price.

Great product, easy to set up and assemble. So far, it works very well. The app can detect movement and send notifications with photo instantly. You can also adjust the sensitivity settings to avoid receiving too many alerts.

Manual needs improvement on how to access and program feeding schedule. Some complain you need to pay for storage- not true, stores on your phone and a memory card. Otherwise it works great (2 portionsnis approx 1/4 cup) and cat loves it. Now we can leave him alone and not worry about running back to fees

Works well and was easy to install. we bought it when we went on a holiday for 3 weeks. love the part where we can anchor to wall so the feeder doesnt get tipped over. Also we can see out pet when she is walking around or feeding. Both day and night vision are good, we can also hear and talk to the cat using the internal speaker and microphone. we can also see when other birds and animals are stealing food from the feeder

Best product I’ve gotten In a while honestly didn’t realize how much I needed this automatic cat feeder until we got one. Being able to schedule multiple feeding times throughout the day and customize the portion sizes has made life so much easier and keeps my cat on a consistent routine. One of my favourite features is the built-in camera — I can check in on my cat anytime while I’m away, make sure she’s eating, and honestly just watch her being cute throughout the day. The app is super easy to use, and I love the peace of mind knowing she’s fed on time even when life gets busy. If you’re a cat owner who travels, or just wants more convenience, this feeder is 100% worth it. It feels like both a pet feeder and a little security camera for your furry best friend!
