Review: cheap quality and lack of tools provided - this table is just straight up cheap quality and VERY OVERPRICED for what it offers with such quality, some screws dont even work with each other and the tools they provide for you to build it aren't enough and the screw knob hole broke on me and now it's just unusable. I don't usually give reviews to items i bought but this is trash and i just had to give it the review. just buy a desk from a local shop instead of desertcart.
Review: Great art table at a great price - I think this table is perfect for my beginning start in watercolor and colored pencil drawing! Assembly was not difficult but directions could benefit from some "top/bottom", "left/right" directions on some steps. I referred back to the desertcart "finished" photo on occasion for help in those cases. My primary challenge was solo assembly as well as my age (68) and getting tired bending/contorting etc. I had no time frame so I did a step or two and then took a break for my back! So overall, it was an all day project but actual time I think 1.5-2 hours. I recently assembled a 150 plus pound Uplift desk which taught me a few ways to deal with the final steps of top into base. The table fits my space perfectly and the drawers allow me to store my most used supplies so I can start painting/drawing without much fuss - YEA. Oh ... I did NOT assemble the stool as I don't need it. Donated to thrift store :)

**Q: it says it will adjust to 28” high. is that from the floor to the top of the wooden shelf, ie “total” height? i have only 28 1/4” where i need to sto**
A: It looks like it will adjust to 28 inches from the floor to the bottom of the drawers underneath. From the floor to the top of the desk when it is laying flat, is about 3 ft at Max. I am 5'3" and it comes to my hip, at top hight.

**Q: can the side tray be inverted so the cup holder is close on the right side? I paint, and need easy access to water**
A: The large cup holder that is made to stay level even when the tabletop is tilted cannot be moved closer to the front, unfortunately. You could put a smaller, taller container in one of the closer round compartments, but you couldn't fill it very full because those tilt with the table.

**Q: Can an adjustable Straight edge ruler be easily attached to the table?**
A: I believe so   My straight edge works well on this

**Q: Can the flat surface go on the right side?**
A: Main flat surface adjusts from 0 - 45 degrees , could not go on the right side

I don't usually give reviews to items i bought but this is trash and i just had to give it the review. just buy a desk from a local shop instead of amazon.
