I bought the 9" version which was plenty big enough for my 2 kids 7 and 9 and would be fine for an adult in my view. We spent extra on the bags too which are also splendid. I spent am absolute age trying to find drums that sounded good; for a good price; actually made in African; and from a good material, ie not PVC and not Mahogany.
