The 360° rotating monocular head inclined at 45° has a locked on 10X wide-field eyepiece with calibrated pointer. There is a built in mechanical stage, as well as rack and pinion adjustable 1.25 N.A. Abbe condenser and iris diaphragm. The built in LED illumination system in the base includes light intensity control and on/off switch. It is powered by rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) Batteries that have a battery life of 500 rechargeable cycles and can fully recharge in 8 hours. They give up to 50 hours of continuous use per charge.. The base of the instrument is ruggedly constructed to avoid tip overs and coatings stand up to acid and chemical reagents.
