## Questions & Answers

**Q: The light sensor doesn't have the same connection as the push switch. So how can I connect it?**
A: The male pins on the push-button connector should match the pins of the light sensor - they just slide into the female connection points on the board.

**Q: Help please. transferred mp3 to the device, but the switch wont start the sound. all i get is about 1/2 a second of it when i plug the usb into pc?**
A: Hi there, I had that issue too and worked out that while the USB was providing a 5V output, the resistance of the actual device meant there was too large a voltage drop, and so the speaker didn’t work for more than 1/2 a second or so. To fix it, I changed the battery back to be a 4xAA one (producing 6V), and that seems to work fine.

**Q: Do i have to solder**
A: Hello, no there is no need to solder the sound module.  All the wires are connected.  Talking Products Limited

**Q: Can you loop files to repeat the same audio file so it keeps playing?**
A: Despite buying this a year ago, I tried to do this last week and it didn't work. If you hold the button down it will only play the sound file once and then stop. If you edit the sound together several times before transferring it to the chip it would work, but you are limited by how big a sound file it will hold, and it will always stop eventually.

I have bought 3 of these mp3 sound cards and have made 2 music boxes for my Grand children which they love. Had a problem with one, which would only play for 20secs, I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement straight away. Excellent service and excellent product for the price.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what i needed

I used this for a toy i was making. At first it wasn’t showing up on my computer and kept repeating the startup sound but it turns out i was using a bad cable. An old phone charger should work. Overall great product might get it again if i start another product

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Little Circuit

This is a brilliant little circuit. I put the item inside a frame containing illuminated film cells and it plays part of the soundtrack for the film along with 15 minutes of dialogue from key scenes. I reduced the size of the mp3 files to just 32k and they still sounded really good, even with the speaker provided. I did however rewire a slightly more powerful 3w 8ohm speaker onto the board instead, which took just minutes, and the sound produced was even better. My only gripe is that the memory size is 4MB as opposed to 8MB on other circuits available, but they do not play multiple or random tracks as this does. Depending on your needs; if you’re making a prop or a little project like me, you could just buy a nano mp3 player and speaker, or you could use this. It’s brilliant.
