My 5- and 7-year-old opened this on Christmas morning, and it kept them happily occupied for over an hour, which was a huge win. It does require a little light supervision, but they were able to do most of it independently. It may be a bit more of a one-and-done type of activity, but they absolutely loved the process of creating the water pets. They had so much fun making them, playing with them afterward, and even handing them out to their cousins. I was also really impressed by how many it made. Overall, it was such a fun, creative activity, and I loved seeing them work together and enjoy making something on their own.

Great activity! I had my granddaughter read the instructions (which were very clear and easy to understand). I would have given it a five however I feel that the quantity of initial solution is too much and then you are left trying to find something to store it in. Also, kid sized disposable gloves should be included in the kit.

Bought for my daughter and her friend. They both love doing this activity. It does require an adult to help if child is 6-8 years old. It does come with an instruction booklet. It makes quit a bit so if you have several children, one kit will be plenty for a few projects. You just want to purchase additional mason jars as the kit only comes with one jar. The jelling liquid can be saved and re-used so I purchased at the dollar store a plastic container with a lid. The only thing that could be improved are the glitter and glow in the dark jet. I used the stick it came with to mix it before use but the glitter is still difficult to be mixed throughout. It makes a nice gift for kids for a reasonable price.

10/10 recommend! The kids loved it and the adults did too! Easy and mostly mess free. Kept the peace for an hour or more!
