Son is graduating tomorrow from pre-k. Originally I bought this book because first and foremost my son is graduating so I felt like OK it’ll probably be appropriate considering it’s kind of you know a kids book and all so pre-K graduation… You know checks out. Also, we have every single pigeon book because my God are they hilarious my son and I absolutely adore them… So obviously eventually it was gonna be part of the collection regardless of the fact that he was graduating so it was a perfect gift idea. I ended up being the guest mystery reader for their last mystery reader in his classroom that they do, so I read this book to them and Literally the teachers who are not very emotional people even though they do teach K got emotional just like I did because I hadn’t read it prior to reading it to the class… It’s literally a brilliantly, perfect book and honest to God… I would even buy it for a highschooler like it’s just adorable, funny silly sweet, encouraging… Everything that the pigeon kind of already already is. This book is probably up there with mine and my most favorite ones of all the collection… Probably tied with the roller coaster one, but nevertheless… I promise you it’ll make you feel some feelings lol and it’s appropriate for anybody graduating whether they’re from pre-K to graduate school to medical school graduations. Brilliant writing… Brilliant illustration… And even more brilliant humor mixed with truth and lessons that are so embedded that it just gives you all the warm fuzzy feelings I guess what I’m trying to say.

As always, the Pigeon’s dramatic personality shines through—this time as he faces all the nerves, excitement, and uncertainty that come with graduation. It’s funny, heartfelt, and surprisingly relatable, whether you’re a kid finishing kindergarten or an adult celebrating a big milestone. I bought this as a graduation gift to myself, and it was a huge hit with my kindergarteners! The humor makes it perfect for read-alouds, and the message about confidence, growth, and moving forward is wonderful. The illustrations are classic Willems—simple but expressive and full of charm. Highly recommend for teachers, parents, or anyone looking for a meaningful (and hilarious) gift for a graduate!

This was a fun gift for my college graduate who grew up with the Mo Willems pigeon books. It was met with smiles as my grad will always be forever young.

My 5 year old grandson loves the pigeon books, they are helping him learn how to read!

Cute book

My kid is really into the pigeon books, so when I went looking for a book I could get all her teachers to write notes in and sign, I was happy to find this one. A lot of the ones I found had a lot happening on all the pages and not a lot of writing space, this one has a LOT so it's great for this purpose. This book at least doesn't have the general gaslight in and bribery that the other pigeon books have, so I enjoy that as a parent.

Classic pigeon book!! Happy graduation

When my nieces graduated from University and elementary school in the same week I had to get them each one of these books since they grew up with the Pigeon books! This one did not disappoint!
