## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks Like a Brooks, Fits Better than a Brooks.
*by J***O on June 15, 2025*

I am new to minimalist shoes and properly fitting for wide-toe box and splaying my toes. After reading reviews on several products, I decided on Whitin. So far I have tried their canvas and relaxation fit. For my style, relaxation fit is the best for me.I apologize for the long review; however, I did this to help others ensure they get as close to a fit as possible the first time. In normal shoes I wear a 9.5W in Brooks Ghost 16. Between AI and the Whitin instructions on measuring for a proper size, my foot size is the following in Whitin measurements: 10.6 Length max by 4.2 width max.In the Whitin running shoes, I ordered a 12W. In comparison to Black Brooks Ghost 16 9.5W, they look nearly Identical. As for size, the Whitin at 12W are obviously a bit longer by 1.5-2 inches and the toe box is nearly the same, maybe a wee bit wider. Where you see and feel the difference is the toe splay area. Whitin is wider. In the Brooks, the angle across the pinky toes come in at a lower angle, contributing to the pinky toes feeling cramped. How did the Whitin 12W running shoes fit? It’s a bit too long for my feet, but manageable. Once these wear out, I will order 10W. Then they shoe fit much better.Soon, I will be trying their food service shoes and anything with the relaxation materials and will provide my review in hopes it will help future Whitin fans. Most of us grew up on mass-produced shoes that are tailored to all. For those looking to sustain proper foot health or improve foot health, these shoes are the way to go. If you’re thinking about switching from the “normal” we all have been taught, these are a great starter. Just remember to measure your feet correctly. The old, normal shoe sizes might not work. Good luck!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stiff sole - insoles removable
*by C***A on June 20, 2025*

Stiff sole. Big toe box. I have wide broad bad feet (arthritis & a break that didn't heal well, planner fascitis, & bone spurs). I wear prescription orthotics to help. The insoles that came with the shoe are easily removed and my orthotics slid right in. My foot Doc said I need stiff soles. Usually I have to wear solid rubber soles boots with my insoles to have any time on my feet before they throb. These seem to be adequately stiff... Not the stiffist I've had, but they feel like they will work. The outer rubber is a bit thin (suspect I'll wear it through soon enough, but at this price point I'd expect it). The foam Eva middle is fairly rigid. I ordered 12w and got a euro 46: fit fine. I'll update if time shows a different result.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good way to test to zero shoes!
*by F***N on June 22, 2025*

After 5 days of wearing them, I like the wide toe box and the feel of a zero shoe, e.g. no cushioning... Its sole is thicker than a zero shoe. So it's a good introduction to zero shoes. The toe box is wide but the heel is on the narrow side. I have been using a shoe horn to slip them on.So far, so good!
