Perfect.....
Typical Maxpedition quality bag. This bag is perfect for what it is, too many reviews complaining about things that this bag isn't. The zippers will break in, the outside pockets are sleeves, not meant to stuff 20 oz water bottles in. The straps are what they are, I only use one anyway. Stylish, durable, covert and functional!

It's worth it, its excellent
I was worried abut spending so much on a backpack but after about a week I am so glad I did. It's excellent. I see the reviews about zippers and bottle storage, and there is some truth to the bottle storage issue, it makes it difficult to through a last minute can or shake into the pocket if the main compartment is full, that being said, I don't see it as an issue enough to rate it poorly. I am in school so I toss a couple water bottles into the main compartment with all the other stuff. The only thing I don't absolutely love is how the CCW compartment is between the laptop sleeve and my back, there is quite a lump of pressure in my back when the laptop is in. I wish those were reversed in placement. I love the laptops sleeve, and could see potential use of slipping a steel plate or kevlar if someone was interested. I bought the 23L by mistake, thought I was getting the 27. I am very happy with the 23, it does all I want and it's in a tight, slick package. I'm not sure the purpose of the magnet wings on the main compartment, but it's not in the way. It's a great bag, I am really happy with it.

Good bag, but..... (UPDATE)
This is my second Maxpedition bag, my first being my well-worn and trusty Gearslinger. The quality of construction is top-notch as always but I have a few issues with this bag. Keep in mind I've only had it a few days so far. Pros: Top quality construction. Well thought-out storage. (UPDATE) Used everyday, very durable materials and construction. Good looking bag for work. Cons: The main compartment zippers do not open or close well. The way the pulls are arranged they force the sliders at such an angle that they don't travel smoothly over the elements. They work OK when the bag is stuffed full, if it's empty you just collapse the bag onto itself when you pull the tabs, but the zippers don't open. It needs pulls that keep the slider in line with the elements. The bottom line is it's not quick and smooth to open. I'm hoping this gets a little better with time, but I doubt it will. (UPDATE) Zippers still suck. I'm used to them but they don't open well at all. The shoulder straps are spread too far apart. I'm 6' and have fairly broad shoulders, but unless I have the sternum strap closed and cinched tight the straps start to ride off of my shoulders. I hate to use the sternum strap for general use but really don't have a choice. (UPDATE) Not as bad as I thought. I think my slick North Face down coat was mostly the issue. (UPDATE) The water bottle holder doesn't fit a water bottle (see the pic). I had to jam this bottle in HARD, and it just slides out when the bag is laid down. All-in-all a great bag, but my last bag set the bar pretty high and this one doesn't get there. (UPDATE) Having seem one now first hand, I wish I would have gotten the GORUCK GR1 instead.

Great Commuter, Campus Bag
This is the fifth Maxpedition product I’ve purchased. I’m a teacher, and this pack is perfect for school. It’s lightweight, but I can carry a 15” laptop inside it with room left over for the charging cable, a book, my planner, plus everyday carry gear in the side pockets. My son’s backpack was stolen a few months back, so I ordered an Entity 23 for him. It’s smaller than the one he lost, but it’s so much lighter. Perfect for the college campus, The Entity is also well suited for a commuter and is certainly not out of place in the office. If you want a good backpacking bag, though, look at Maxpedition’s other lines.

Almost Perfect
TL;DR Pros: Great organization Not bulky Comfortable and durable Easy hand carry Cons: Pricey Zippers need "breaking in" Water bottle holders are limited on size Could use more padding on bottom of bag My usage: Everyday IT work. I use this thing everyday to carry work laptop, coffee thermos, extra cables, chargers, rain jacket, emergency supplies. Full review: Worth the price if you are willing to spend extra to get something this durable and well thought out. Other bags might be a better price to performance, but this fits my needs. The zippers are a bit rough out of the box and get better once the bag starts forming its natural shape. (I may try some lubricant on the zippers) Carry handles are great. Accessories are nice to have. Plenty of pockets and storage areas.

Best Backpack For Work
This is probably the best backpack I've owned when it comes to carrying my laptop and things to work. The material is great, and my laptop is well protected. It is a great 'gray man' pack. Couple things I'd change: 1. I wish it had a front pocket. 2. The side pocket zippers are angled in a way that makes it a little hard to unzip. 3. The unzipped pockets in the front aren't so great when the pack is even a little bit full.

Excellent CCW Backpack
The best product I’ve gotten from Amazon so far. The bag is durable. There are a lot of pockets for storage, and the best part is the CCW pocket! It sits flush on my back even when I’m carrying. It’s really a great product. My only gripe is that you have to buy the universal velcro holster separately. Other than that, I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Best EDC bag for those who want to avoid the military look
This backpack is the perfect blend of function and low visibility. The CCW area inside the back panel works just as well with holster inserts to hold a spare battery and a WiFi puck, coins, cords and other essentials to stay organized. Superior construction and materials, versatile and configurable. My new go to bag, love it so much I also got the next size down for an EDC bag, saving this one for air travel.

Una gran opción, de muy buena calidad y bien diseñada. Tiene un par de funciones que en México no se usan como la funda para armas, pero fuera de eso es muy útil, ligera y de excelente manufactura.

Waaaaay more cost effective than how I would have paid for it here at home. Fits my 15 inch laptop perfectly, has all the organisation and quick access areas that make using it a breeze. Definitely recommended! Oh. And the choice of Ninja Van as a courier was top notch. Got my item 2 weeks before the shipment due date! Interesting because my velcro insert order from maxpedition made on the same day is still somewhere out there. Shipped by Apex that one.....

Subpar quality compared to other models

The GOOD: -Well built. -Nice colour. -Good idea. -The waistbelt is awesome. The BAD: -Both main pockets are lockable but the pocket which is supposed to house a firearm is somehow not. -The CCW pouch is unusable with a laptop in the bag because it gets squished down to nothing. -The CCW compartment is between the laptop compartment and your back, jamming anything in the compartment into your back. -Has headphone pass throughs on a bag released in 2018. No one carries their phone in their backpack and most people have Bluetooth headphones. -The zippers for the main compartments suck. -The side pockets can barely hold water bottles at the best of times. If you have anything in the internal mesh pockets or outer pockets you're not getting one in there. -The luggage handle pass through adds pointless weight to an already very heavy bag. -PRICE: At time of writing, on amazon.com the list price for the 35L version is 65% more than the 23L version. On amazon.ca the 35L version costs 68.5% more than the 23L version. I bought mine on amazon.ca because my job currently has me posted to Canada. That aside, that is a 52% increase in volume for a 65-68% increase in cost. The Square-Cube law means that there is not a proportional cost increase for producing larger sizes of bag and yet it's actually greater than proportional. I love everything this bag tries to be but Maxpedition needs to get their features and pricing down to make it actually work as intended.
